August 5 Is A Special Non- Working Holiday

If you are one of those who do not bother to tune in to the news during weekends and are not aware that former President Corazon Aquino has passed away, then you probably are not aware also that Wednesday, August 5 has been declared a special non-working holiday.

“I, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo do hereby declare August 5, 2009, Wednesday, to be a special non-working holiday nationwide in honor of the late former President Corazon C. Aquino,” Remonde quoted the President in her proclamation.
